Cross Canada Fiddle Tunes is a collection of books designed to help people of all ages, abilities, and musical backgrounds to effortlessly learn traditional fiddle music. Each volume of Cross Canada Fiddle Tunes includes a variety of tools to help students learn new tunes, improve timing and intonation, and increase dexterity on the instrument. The tunes have been recorded in both slow and fast versions, and solo piano accompaniment has also been included for each tune. In addition to the 3-CD set of recordings the books include accurate transcriptions with suggested bowings, along with helpful technical pointers, scales and dexterity exercises.
Cross Canada Fiddle also offers private and group instruction in fiddle, Suzuki violin, piano accompaniment, and guitar. Geoff and Trish maintain large teaching studios in Nanaimo and Courtenay on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC. If you are interested in joining the studio, contact Geoff or Trish by email.
